Rashmi Pradeep, a Partner in the Firm, with over 22 years of experience, heads the Employment Practice as well as South Region of the Firm (Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad).
Recognised as an expert in the field of employment laws, she is sought by clients for her advice on complex labour matters. She advises various international and domestic corporations on a myriad of employment issues that arise in India, and is adept at handling large transactions involving acquisitions of businesses with a large employee base, retrenchment, downsizing of labour force and closures, union strategy etc.
Rashmi is also sought out by board of directors of companies, to advice on various corporate governance matters, structuring of incentive packages, exit settlements, stock option schemes and other retention structures. She also advises many clients on the changing landscape of employee engagement structures and preparing for the new Labour Codes.
Clients appreciate that she is “deeply involved in the process”, “is an articulate speaker” and “extremely competent and well versed in technical matters”. Rashmi has also conducted many high profile and sensitive investigations for companies based on whistle-blower complaints, advised on termination of employment, especially of senior management, for various disciplinary reasons including allegations of sexual harassment, fraud, misappropriation of funds and corporate governance breaches. Rashmi is an expert on advising companies on how to deal with sexual harassment at the workplace and has spoken at events organised by trade bodies on the laws relating to sexual harassment.
Her clients cover a broad range of sectors including IT, manufacturing, and banking & financial services.
Rashmi’s views and expertise are often sought out by publications on key employment issues and she often speaks at industry-wide sessions on employment topics.
