REGINALDO MONTAÑO RODRÍGUEZ. Graduated in 1993, EDUCATION: Law Faculty, Autonomous University of Baja California; postgraduate studies on Tax and Constitutional Law at prestigious universities at Mexico City.

With over 27 years of tax law practice, Reginaldo´s professional career has been focused on tax litigation and advisory.

He served on the public sector (1997-2001), as a director of the Tax Policy Department of the Ministry of Finance where he participated actively on preparing tax reforms bills, attending taxpayers ruling requests, among other activities.

On 2001 Reginaldo joined Deloitte as a tax-legal partner where he leaded a tax controversy team which attended several tax trials for multinationals and domestic corporations.

As of November 2013, Reginaldo formed an independent tax law firm envisioning specialized tax controversy services and tax advisory. A well prepare tax defense team becomes a big asset for taxpayers nowadays; among the 14 professionals that works on the firm, some of them worked for the Tax Court and the tax administration.

Through the years he has attended many tax cases at Court defending clients from tax authority´s acts; the key success for having obtained many favorable judgments are strong evidence, appropriate legal reasoning and a constant follow up at Court.

Reginaldo is ranked in Chambers and Partners and Best Lawyers; he participates actively on the academic sector in the International Fiscal Association (IFA), Mexican Bar Association (BMA). He also has participated as speaker on numerous forums.
