Career

Robert M. Halpern received his LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1983 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1985. He is certified by the Law Society of Ontario as a Specialist in Family Law. Robert has taught Family Law for the Bar Admission Course and has served as a member of the Executive Committee of the Canadian Bar Association – Family Law Section.

Professional Memberships

He was a member of the Law Society of Ontario Family Law Specialist Selection Committee, and served as a Dispute Resolution Officer for the Ontario Superior Court.

Publications

Robert has presented and chaired at various conferences for the National Judicial Institute, the LSO, the CBA– Ontario, the Canadian Institute, Osgoode Professional Development and Federated Press, and has appeared on radio programs.

Robert is co-author (with Justice David Steinberg) of "Family Law in the Family Courts (Volume II)" – (Carswell).

Robert is editor and an author of "Advising the Family-Owned Business" - Canada Law Book, "Property Rights and Obligations under Ontario Family Law" – (Thomson Reuters), and "Support Rights and Obligations under Ontario Family Law "– (Thomson Reuters) .

Robert is also the editor of "Contracts for the Family Law Client" -(LexisNexis Canada).
