She has worked on international projects for bodies such as the European Commission and the Council of Europe and on drafting privacy laws for other jurisdictions. She is a senior consultant attorney at Hunton Andrews Kurth where she advises on high-level privacy, data protection and confidentiality issues.

Jay is a former contributing editor on data protection to the Supreme Court Practice (White Book) and the Encyclopaedia of Data Protection and International Data Protection Law.
