Sally-Ann has worked in the shipping industry for over 30 years. She is a partner in London and co-office managing partner of Reed Smith’s Athens office, dividing her time between London and Athens.

Sally-Ann handles disputes arising out of all types of shipping contracts, including charterparties, bills of lading, ship management and shipbuilding contracts, and also transhipment agreements, as well as sale contracts and worldwide logistics issues.

She is a tanker specialist and has particular experience of cargo claims and drafting tanker charter terms. She also has extensive experience of dealing with highly technical shipbuilding disputes, tank cleaning, ship management, and all sorts of disputes arising out of delays and breakdowns; as well as cruise ship and P&I Club cover issues.

Sally-Ann also deals with a wide range of issues arising for charterers / traders and has in-depth experience of disputes that arise under ocean freight contracts and warehousing agreements.

She is known for her client-centric, responsive and commercial approach. Should matters not be capable of resolution, she has in depth experience of an array of options, such as mediation, interlocutory applications, and interim awards, as well as full-blown arbitrations (including LMAA and LCIA), and trials, including recent experience in the higher courts.

Sally-Ann is a supporting member of the LMAA and a member of WISTA Hellas.
