Sam has acted on a number of high profile corporate restructurings in Northern Ireland in recent years. Sam is also an adept litigator and specialises in advising financial institutions and banks on financial services and insolvency related litigation. Sam actively prosecutes and defends many litigation cases at the Commercial Court and Chancery Court in Northern Ireland.

- KPMG as special liquidators of IBRC which is currently the largest, most complex and cross jurisdictional insolvency on the island of Ireland
- Quinn Group on all aspects of its corporate restructuring of debt in the region of circa €1.3 billion
- The Administrators of the Carvill Group, the Taggart Group of companies, Fultons Fine Furnishings and KPL Contracts Ltd
