Appearing before the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, Crown Courts and Inquests, Sam has vast experience both before juries and judicial tribunals.

Sam has extensive expertise in terrorism related prosecutions acting in some of the most highly publicised cases of this nature in recent times. He has regular conduct of cases of murder, manslaughter, infanticide, firearms, drug importation and serious sexual offences. He is sought after in the most challenging and highly publicised business crime cases with experience in multi-million pound VAT, boiler room, mis-selling, investment scheme and share dealing frauds. Sam advises companies and individuals on health and safety and regulatory offences. He has almost unparalleled experience in cases of corporate and gross negligence manslaughter prosecutions and is regarded as a go-to advocate for cyber-crime prosecutions, in particular those with an international dimension.

He is instructed to act in inquests (including matters of Health and Safety), sports and medico-legal disciplinary tribunals. He is experienced in advising on a range of corporate issues including regulation under the Covid Act 2020 and the Bribery Act 2010.
