Sarah has acted in proceedings before the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals, International Criminal Court, Special Tribunal for Lebanon, International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia and the International Crimes Tribunal in Bangladesh.
Notable cases: Situation in the Republic of the Philippines, in which she represented the Republic of the Philippines in appellate proceedings concerning the admissibility of investigations before the ICC.
Sarah also appeared in Prosecutor v. Ayyash et al. in which she represented Mr. Assad Sabra who was acquitted.
Other notable cases: Prosecutor v. Anselme Nzabonimpa, Prosecutor v. Saif Al-Islam Gaddafi, Prosecutor v. Al Hassan and Prosecutor v. Alfred Yekatom.
Sarah regularly provides hands-on consultation to governments in implementing the rule of law and represents clients before international human rights mechanisms. She accepts public access instruction and has successfully represented clients in challenges to Interpol red notices, contestation of extradition requests and the annulment of restrictive measures before the General Court of the European Union and European Court of Justice.
Notable cases: Aisha Al-Qadhafi v Council of the European Union and Abdel Majed Al-Gaoud v Council of the European Union.
She is providing the Government of Republic of South Sudan assistance concerning the removal of restrictive measures.
Sarah also lectures and provides trainings with a focus on international criminal procedure and evidence.
