Sarah Inchley is a Partner in the family law team. She qualified as a solicitor in 2008 and has practised exclusively in children law for 16 years. She has a wealth of experience in public, private and international cross border children cases.
Sarah has a particular expertise in international children law. She is a founding member of the Child Abduction Lawyers’ Association and is a volunteer advocate on CALA’s pro bono High Court duty scheme assisting parents acting in person with much needed legal advice when their child has been abducted. She has close links with charities, Reunite and Global ARRK.
She has a wealth of experience in representing parents in child abduction cases and relocation cases, private law children matters concerning a dispute about a child, adoption and children public law cases challenging the decision making of local authorities.
As a solicitor-advocate, she often represents clients in Court proceedings.
With a background in education law, Sarah is regularly instructed by clients in family law cases where a child at the centre of the dispute has special educational needs or a disability. Sarah has completed training with leading SEN charity IPSEA. She is uniquely placed to help clients in these circumstances, combining her specialist knowledge of both education and children law fields.
Sarah is known for securing good outcomes for her clients. She has an empathetic approach, delivering technical legal knowledge with pragmatic, cost sensitive advice. Her hard-working approach is driven by her commitment to championing and upholding the rights of vulnerable children, young people and their families.
