Sashi Nchito Kateka specialises in civil and commercial dispute resolution. She has participated in several landmark cases in the area of employment and competition law. Sashi has recently been instrumental in settling a long-term and highly contentious high-value property settlement dispute, following divorce proceedings for a renowned client. Sashi has also overseen litigation proceedings and secured success for leading cement manufacturers, petroleum dealers and a telecommunications company in Zambia. Sashi has been the lead person in the firm’s provision of legal services to one of the big private hospitals in Lusaka and has provided regulatory and legal compliance advice to the Hospital in various matters. She has also represented several medical practitioners before the Tribunal of the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ) which issues licenses and regulates all medical practitioners and medical institutions in Zambia. As a seasoned litigator, Sashi has extensive experience before all the superior courts of Zambia. Sashi is a member of the Law Association of Zambia, where she served as Treasurer and Honorary Secretary respectively, between the year 2014 to 2019 the Commonwealth Lawyers Association and the SADC Lawyers Association.
