Shukhrat Yunusov is a Partner and the Head of banking and finance practice at Dentons' Tashkent office. He has over 10 years of experience advising on banking and finance, capital markets, corporate, contractual and regulatory matters. Shukhrat advises international and development financial institutions, foreign and local banks on Uzbekistan-focused financing mandates. He also successfully led several mergers and acquisitions and privatisation deals.
Career
Shukhrat is a dual-qualified lawyer both in Uzbekistan and England and Wales jurisdictions. He joined Dentons in 2017 following the firm’s combination with a highly ranked Uzbek law firm Avent Advokat. Prior to that, he has been working for 5 years at Avent Advokat. He also teaches Project Finance Law for over 10 years in local and foreign universities.
