Silvia D'Alberti is a Partner who has practised Italian and EU competition law since 1993. Her practice encompasses all aspects of EU and national competition and merger control laws, regulatory matters, commercial transactions and consumer law at both advisory and litigation stages.
She has extensive experience of counselling and representing clients before the EU Commission, the Italian Antitrust Authority (IAA), the EU and Italian Courts on complex EU and Italian merger cases, behavioural investigations on restrictive horizontal and vertical practices, cartels, abuses of dominance, consumer protection investigations and antitrust damages litigations.
She has experience across a range of industry sectors, focussing in particular on oil and gas, energy, telecoms, consumer goods and financial services.

Silvia D'Alberti has recently joined Orsingher Ortu and remains one of the most highly regarded competition lawyers in Italy. She has a strong focus on contentious behavioural matters, representing clients in ICA investigations and subsequently challenging any fines imposed following the investigation. She also advises clients on follow-on damages claims and assists with obtaining merger clearance.
