Silvio Cappellari

Practice Areas

Silvio Cappellari advises German and international companies on a wide array of competition law issues. A particular focus of his practice lies on complex merger control cases before the European Commission and the German Federal Cartel Office, including numerous Phase 2 proceedings. Moreover, he regularly advises in international cartel investigations and on abuse of dominance matters. In this context, he has repeatedly represented clients before the EU courts, most recently in the Gazprom and Bulgarian Energy Holding matters (Cases T-616/18 and T- 136/19, respectively). Silvio Cappellari has particular expertise in the energy, manufacturing, pharmaceutical and transport/logistics sectors and can draw on a broad network of contacts in the international competition law community.

Career

Always based in Brussels, Silvio Cappellari joined Schilling, Zutt & Anschütz as a partner in 2013 after more than 15 years at various top tier US law firms.
