Sophia is a Litigation Partner at Lennox Paton and member of the insolvency and restructuring team. Sophia represents a variety of clients in all aspects of liquidations and receiverships and has acted in numerous prominent cross-border insolvency cases and multi-jurisdictional matters. With a strong reputation in the field of insolvency, and an experienced trial lawyer, she appears regularly before the Courts in The Bahamas and has appeared as Junior Counsel in the Privy Council. Sophia impresses sources with her industrious approach to the work she takes on and her practice encompasses contentious shareholder and commercial disputes, trust litigation cases, fraud and asset tracing matters including Norwich Pharmacal applications, injunctions and other interlocutory relief.
Sophia is frequently called upon to speak at International Conferences and has been named in ‘Global Restructuring Review’s 40 Under 40’. Sophia authored The Bahamas chapter of GRRs Americas Restructuring Review, INSOL International’s Insolvency and Trusts and numerous other publications.

Sophia is a Fellow of INSOL International, Co-Chair of the Reorganization & Workouts Sub-Committee of the Insolvency Section of the International Bar Association (‘IBA’), and The Bahamas National Representative of AIJA.
