Stephanie Cohen is a Canadian international arbitrator based in New York City. She is dually admitted in New York and Ontario, Canada.
Stephanie has practiced exclusively as an arbitrator since 2012, serving as tribunal chair, sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator, appellate arbitrator, and emergency arbitrator in matters governed by the ICC, ICDR, AAA, HKIAC, SIAC, UNCITRAL, ADRIC, and Society of Maritime Arbitrators rules. Previously, Stephanie was Counsel in the international arbitration and commercial litigation practice at White & Case LLP in New York where she appeared in complex, high-value disputes before international arbitration tribunals and courts.
Stephanie is on arbitrator rosters for the ICDR and AAA, a member of the ICC Court, and a CPR Distinguished Neutral. She is Chair of the International Commercial Disputes Committee of the New York City Bar Association, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Fellow of the College of Commercial Arbitrators, and a member of the ICC Commission, for which she served as Chair of the Working Group on Use of Information Technology in International Arbitration. She regularly speaks and writes about international arbitration matters of practical interest and has taken a leading role promoting cybersecurity. She is also trusted by major institutions to lead arbitrator training, including the AAA's Arbitration Fundamentals and Best Practices training for new arbitrators (since 2019) and as Co-Chair for the ICC's Advanced Arbitration Academy for North America.
