Susan has more than 30 years of experience representing employers in all aspects of employment matters and is widely recognized as one of the leading employment lawyers in Florida. She is a recognized trial attorney, having handled single plaintiff and class/collective actions in state and federal courts as well as arbitration. Susan is also widely known for her expertise with wage and hour issues and, for many years, was one of the authors of the premier treatise titled The Fair Labor Standards Act and is a founding member of the Wage and Hour Defense Institute. Susan also advises clients on employment law compliance, discipline, terminations, reductions in force, and wage and hour audits. She is Florida Bar Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law, a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, an arbitrator, and a Certified Circuit Mediator. For almost 20 years, Susan has served as a neutral mediator and arbitrator in single plaintiff and class actions. Susan has previously served as the office managing partner of Cozen O'Connor's Miami offices. In 2020 and 2023, she was named a "Lawyer of the Year" for labor & employment litigation by Best Lawyers.
