Career
With over twenty years of professional legal experience, Thomas joined the Baton Rouge, Louisiana office of Butler Snow in 2018 and practices within the Public Finance, Tax Incentives, and Credit Markets Group. His practice extends to all phases of tax-exempt and taxable financings on behalf of local governments, public utilities, conduit issuers and school districts throughout Louisiana. He has served primary as Bond Counsel, Underwriters’ Counsel, Remarketing Agent Counsel and Disclosure Counsel in in a wide variety of public offerings, private placements of debt securities and municipal bonds as well as utility financings and regularly provides advice on the legality and status of tax-exempt obligations.
