Thomas Willaschek advises health care companies, medical care centres, medical care centre groups, medical and dental practices, tech companies, digital health app developers, investors, management companies, corporations and associations on strategic issues, as well as on panel doctor law and all regulatory issues related to the provision of out-patient services, digital service provision and the provision of therapeutic services and medical aids.
He devises and develops business models, enables access to the statutory health insurance system, provides transaction advice, structures cooperation agreements and ensures that services provided are adequately remunerated.
Thomas Willaschek concentrates his practice on panel doctor law, professional law and the drafting of contracts, as well as on data protection and medical devices law (in-vitro diagnostics/laboratory, software).
Career
Thomas Willaschek is a certified specialist in medical law. He studied law at the University of Münster (Germany) and also completed his doctorate there. Thomas Willaschek has been a health care lawyer since 2005. He initially worked in boutique law firms that specialised in medical law before joining Luther as a partner in 2024.
Thomas Willaschek is a legal advisor to Berufsverband der Deutschen Urologie e.V., chairman of the sub-working group on digital health of the Medical Law working group of the German Bar Association (DAV) and a lecturer on e-health and telemedicine in the Master’s programme Medical Law offered by the University of Münster.
