Practice Areas

Ms. Hedgpeth’s practice began in 1994 and focuses on environmental litigation and compliance counseling relating to contaminated soil, sediment, groundwater and surface water as well as sewage spills and other discharges. Many of her cases include CERCLA, RCRA, and Clean Water Act issues. She represents a number of clients subject to state regulatory enforcement by agencies, including the California Regional Water Quality Control Boards and the California Department of Toxic Substances Control. Ms. Hedgpeth has litigated contracts involving disputes related to environmental indemnities and other environmental provisions. Her matters regularly involve complex technical issues, requiring significant work with expert witnesses and an in depth understanding of various contaminants and regulations. Ms. Hedgpeth has represented clients in high-profile matters and was recognized by the Los Angeles Daily Journal for obtaining one of the Top 10 Defense Verdicts of 2009. The Los Angeles Business Journal has identified her as one of the Top 100 Lawyers in Los Angeles and included her in Who’s Who in Los Angeles Law. She lives in Southern California with her two video-game addicted children and enjoys hiking, traveling, good wine and fine friends.
