Practice Areas
Tim specialises in commercial and construction disputes, both domestic and international. Many of his disputes relate to projects in the Middle East as Tim spent 2 years living and working in Dubai. His cases are also often in arbitration and Tim has extensive experience of a wide variety of arbitral proceedings and associated court applications. As Tim has a strong scientific background, his cases routinely involve technical expert evidence.
Tim is instructed in a wide variety of substantial commercial cases but many of his cases raise issues of fraud and dishonesty. He is frequently instructed to deal with jurisdictional and conflict of law issues given his international experience.
Tim’s construction practice encompasses both domestic and international claims with an emphasis on disputes relating to infrastructure projects, many of which were constructed on PFI terms. He has particular experience of claims relating to the construction of airports and power stations. In addition to his court and arbitration practice, Tim has considerable experience of adjudication and is a TECBAR accredited adjudicator.
