Tore works in Schjødt's Industry department and heads the Fisheries & Aquaculture group. He has specialised in typical business law disciplines, such as company law, contract law, tort law, property law, restructuring and insolvency law, and EU/EEA law. In addition, Tore has in-depth expertise in administrative law and is particularly experienced with regulations regarding fisheries and aquaculture.

Tore Fjørtoft holds a PhD in cooperative law and is regarded as the leading national expert in this area. He has lectured in company law at the Law Faculty in Oslo for several years. His scientific publications are primarily in company and cooperative law, but he has also published articles in other legal disciplines.

Tore has extensive experience drafting laws, both as a legal advisor at The Ministry of Justice and as a leader and member of governmental law commissions. He also writes legal commentaries on four Norwegian acts for Rettsdata and Karnov and delivers lectures on his legal specialities to both private and public bodies.
