Travis Gray represents clients in a broad range matters involving appellate litigation and complex commercial litigation. His practice focuses on the state and federal courts of appeals, and he has successfully pursued appeals to the Supreme Court of the United States and the Supreme Court of Texas. Mr. Gray frequently appears in state and federal trial courts as well. In the trial courts, his practice includes written and oral advocacy on dispositive motions, class certification, and post-trial briefing. Mr. Gray has served as appellate counsel in numerous trials, focusing on error preservation and issues related to the jury charge.
Career
Mr. Gray joined the Houston office of Baker Botts in 2017 after graduating from Vanderbilt Law School. Prior to joining the firm, he clerked for the Honorable Rhesa H. Barksdale on the United States Courts of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. In addition to his private practice, Mr. Gray teaches courses on federal appeals at the University of Arkansas School of Law.
