Trevor has a wide range of commercial litigation experience, specialising in complex, often multi-jurisdictional cases. He has a powerful reputation for taking on establishment institutions including successful claims against sovereign states. His clients include major banks; multi-national corporations; sovereign states including the UK government; public bodies; and high net worth individuals.

Trevor has run a number of public interest claims on behalf of various causes and founded bbcwatch which analyses BBC media coverage of the Middle East. Trevor has higher advocacy rights, allowing him to appear before courts in the UK, and is also a qualified mediator.

Prior to establishing Asserson, Trevor worked at Herbert Smith, Europe’s leading litigation firm, and subsequently as Global Head of International Litigation at Bird & Bird. Trevor received a scholarship to Oxford University, where he read Modern History.
