Vanessa is leader and a founding partner of Linklaters’ global environmental and climate change practice. She is also a member of our Risk and Resilience and Crisis Management team and leads our firmwide ESG practice.

Vanessa is recognised internationally as an expert in the areas of human rights, governance and environmental law, and for her breadth of experience in crisis management. She sits on the UK Government’s export credit advisory group as an advisor on climate and ESG matters.

Vanessa has extensive experience advising on complex sustainability and product issues. She has particular expertise in resolving environmental, social and security issues on major energy and infrastructure projects. She also advises on ESG policy, the legal components of energy transition strategy, and on compliance programmes relating to sustainable finance regulation.

Vanessa is recognised in Chambers UK for her “impressive intellect and gravitas” in relation to regulatory compliance and corporate sustainability.
