Career
Partner in S&C’s Mergers & Acquisitions and Finance and Restructuring Groups. Co-head of S&C’s Latin America practice. Practice includes a range of cross-border M&A and JVs, as well as a variety of corporate and project financings. Particular experience advising strategic and financial investors in investments in countries across Latin America in the energy, natural resources and infrastructure sectors, as well as in highly regulated industries. Selected representations include: CMPC in several sustainability-linked and other corporate financings; Government of Belize in a “debt-for-nature” swap restructuring of its external commercial debt and the underwriters in several other sovereign financings; SoftBank Latin America Fund in several equity investments; TheNotCompany’s JV with Kraft Heinz; AT&T’s sale of Vrio Corp. to Grupo Werthein and acquisitions of Iusacell and Nextel Mexico; N&P Holdings’ sale of its interest in Major League Soccer team Inter Miami F.C.; Grupo Carrefour Brasil’s acquisition of Grupo BIG Brasil; Grupo SURA in CDPQ’s acquisition of a strategic minority interest in Grupo SURA’s subsidiary SURA Asset Management; Delta Air Lines’ strategic partnership with LATAM Airlines; State Grid’s acquisition of CPFL; and various project development/finance representations in Mexico, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia.
