Career

William (“Bill”) McDonald, III focuses his practice on commercial, financial, and product liability litigation. Bill achieved a total defense jury-verdict in a product liability trial as lead counsel for a major automotive manufacturer involving claimed damages over $100M, and has second chaired an arbitration to a successful award of over $3M. Beyond the courtroom, Bill provides strategic counsel to clients navigating the regulatory landscape, including matters involving the Federal Trade Commission, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Consumer Product Safety Commission, and the Department of Justice. With extensive experience in large-scale discovery in complex product liability and class action cases across the country and winning total dismissals for three product manufacturers in Michigan state and federal courts, Bill is a seasoned litigator with a proven track record.
