Xavier leads RocaJunyent’s Banking and Finance practice, as well as the Fintech and Blockchain Group. He is one of the pioneering lawyers in Spain specialising in these sectors.
He advises national and international technology innovation companies in the financial sector across various verticals throughout their entire lifecycle: from the initial regulatory validation of the business model, through the process of obtaining any necessary authorisations or registrations with the Bank of Spain and the CNMV, to adapting to new regulatory developments. He also has experience advising on investment rounds and shareholders’ agreements, as well as in M&A and due diligence processes for fintech companies.
Additionally, he is a regular speaker at industry conferences on financial topics and works closely with the startup community, venture capitalists, and accelerators within the fintech ecosystem. He serves as the board secretary for several companies and is a former board member of the blockchain consortium Alastria.
