Career
Xavier heads RocaJunyent’s Banking and Finance practice, as well as the Fintech and Blockchain Group. He is one of the pioneering lawyers in Spain to specialise in these sectors.
He advises national and international technological innovation companies in the financial sector in the different verticals throughout their entire cycle: from the initial regulatory validation of the business model, through the process of obtaining any authorisations or registrations before the Bank of Spain and the CNMV, to the adaptation to new regulatory developments. He also has experience in advising on investment rounds and shareholders’ agreements, as well as in M&A and due diligence processes for fintech companies.
Likewise, he is a regular speaker at industry conferences on financial topics and works closely with the startup community, venture capitalists and accelerators within the fintech ecosystem. He acts as the board secretary of several companies and is a former board member of the blockchain consortium Alastria.
