Yaowarote Klinboon is a partner in Tilleke & Gibbins’ corporate and commercial group and head of the firm’s capital markets practice. With over 20 years of experience in domestic and international capital markets, Yaowarote is one of Thailand’s most prominent capital markets lawyers. She is experienced with securities offerings under Rule 144A/Regulation S of the US Securities Act, the Rules and Regulations of the SGX-ST, and with the requirements of the Stock Exchange of Thailand. She is also adept at advising public listed companies on general corporate matters, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions, and she actively advises both issuers and underwriters on international and domestic offerings of equity and debt instruments. She is internationally recognized for her securities work with top-tier financial advisory houses and financial institutions, and is ranked as one of Thailand’s top capital markets lawyers by Chambers Asia-Pacific and The Legal 500 Asia Pacific.
Yaowarote holds an LLB from Chulalongkorn University and LLMs from both Chulalongkorn University and the University of East Anglia. She started her career working as a legal officer in the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Stock Exchange of Thailand, before moving to private practice roles at some of Thailand’s most prominent law firms. Highly regarded for her practical and direct advice, Yaowarote is trusted by many of Thailand’s largest companies and is a regular expert speaker at the Thai Institute of Directors.
