Paragon Costs advised Thrings LLP and its client, the state of Romania, on the costs aspects of a dispute which reached the Supreme Court. The team successfully argued that the Supreme Court's costs order against Romania did not entitle the receiving parties to recover the costs of being separately represented by two firms throughout proceedings. The case also raised issues concerning payment of fees in foreign currencies and the correct method for converting such sums to sterling.
