    2025 | Band 1 | 10 Years Ranked
Garden Court North Chambers is a pre-eminent immigration set with notably strong expertise in country guidance cases, nationality law and other complex issues. The set is facilitated by its practice manager, Annmarie Nightingale, along with her experienced clerking team. The set is best known for handling appeals and bringing judicial review claims on behalf of vulnerable clients, including refugees, unaccompanied children and victims of trafficking. They routinely appear before the First-tier and Upper Tribunals and the appellate courts. Members have excellent legal and procedural knowledge covering asylum, detention and deportation matters. Members recently appeared in the Supreme Court in R (on the application of AM (Belarus)) v SSHD, a case about whether refusing leave to remain to someone who cannot be returned to their country of nationality violates article 8 of the European Convention of Human Rights. Other matters include cases about unlawful detention and family reunion. An instructing solicitor recently described their work as "flawless and impeccable".
