As one of the UK’s most respected and trusted law firms, we specialise in medical negligence and personal injury and have supported people, and their families, with life-changing injuries for over 30 years.
Our team of legal experts has secured millions of pounds in compensation for our clients, and have handled a wide range of cases from serious personal injury and clinical negligence claims, including incredibly complex cases involving life-altering injuries.
Our mission is to help rebuild the lives of individuals who have suffered serious, life changing injuries and for them to have the very best possible life after injury.
We do this, not only through the case work we undertake for injured clients, but also through supporting charities, causes and organisations that share the same mission.
Personal Injury: From our early roots in 1987, Fletchers has developed an internationally renowned Personal Injury practice, mainly acting for clients following serious and life changing injuries. The department focuses on all aspects of serious injury through our specialist brand Serious Injury Law, as well as motorbike and cycle injury claims, road traffic accidents, and accidents at work.
A unique aspect of the department is the inhouse Court of Protection team, who can assist from the outset. The department also has expertise in dealing with accidents in international jurisdictions.
Fletchers’ Personal Injury department is one of the largest in the UK comprising 203 lawyers. It is streamlined into teams according to the anticipated settlement value of cases (up to £25,000; £25,000-£100,000; £100,000-£500,000; £500,000 - £multimillion+ and a Private Client team).
The department is overseen at board level by Chief Legal Officer, Adrian Denson and Director of Serious Injury, Caroline Morris. Both Adrian and Caroline are vastly experienced practitioners. Adrian previously headed up the department from 2011 to 2017 and has been named as one of the top 10 ‘leading individuals’ in the North West for Personal Injury whilst Caroline continues to run a small number of high value cases alongside her role as Director of Serious Injury Law.
Clinical Negligence: The Clinical Negligence department at Fletchers is one of the largest in the UK. There are over 150 team members building a formidable nationwide reputation for dealing with all forms of clinical negligence. They also have a team which is solely dedicated to dealing with the highest severity injuries caused by a medical mistake.
Fletchers’ nationally recognised Clinical Negligence practice is wide-ranging, with particular expertise in complex claims of maximum severity including where adults or children have suffered brain injury, cerebral palsy, amputation, spinal cord and other neurological injuries.
We also have a solid history of representing victims in medical ‘Group Action’ cases, supporting hundreds of clients impacted by a single individual or organisation.
The practice has approximately 238 colleagues, spread across specialist teams of between six and 12 legal professionals. We represent clients that have been injured as a result of negligent medical practice, with 60% of our signed cases being high-value claims over £25,000.
