Iain is a Team Leader within the catastrophic injury clinical negligence department, managing a team of 11 lawyers and handling his own cases. Iain has recovered tens of millions of pounds in compensation over the years for his severely injured clients. In the past 5 years alone, Iain has recovered over £55 million in damages.
Recent examples of notable cases that Iain has achieved success on include £13.2 million for an adult with a brain injury and spinal cord injury arising from meningitis; £7 million for an adult with a brain injury caused by a stroke and £7.3 million for an adult rendered paraplegic following A&E negligence.
Iain is now predominantly only instructed on claims exceeding £1 million, specialising in brain injury, spinal cord injury and amputations. Iain prides himself and his team for approaching every single case with rigorous care for the individuals and fighting hard for justice for his clients.
Iain is a senior solicitor and a Partner in Fletchers. He is also a Solicitor-Advocate with Higher Rights of Audience in civil proceedings. Iain was shortlisted at the Personal Injury Awards 2022 in two categories; Claimant clinical negligence lawyer of the year and outstanding case of the year.
