Practice Areas
Since 1998, Agnieszka Stefanowicz-Barańska has represented clients in numerous EU and Polish competition authority proceedings and before Polish courts, in cartel and other antitrust investigations. She has also assisted clients during dawn raids and in over 100 merger control proceedings, before both the European Commission and the Polish competition authority. She assists clients in designing their distribution networks and provides practical support to in-house teams in implementing antitrust compliance initiatives, including risk-mapping and comprehensive antitrust audits. She has extensive experience in advising clients on antitrust issues related to abuse of dominance, horizontal cooperation, and M&A contracts, as well as foreign direct investment screening rules, state aid, consumer protection, and unfair competition issues.
Her clients are drawn from many different sectors, including life sciences, automotive, consumer goods, food, telecommunications, heavy industry, chemicals, energy, utilities and banking and insurance.
