Andrew D. Garelick specializes in M&A, private equity and corporate governance matters for companies and financial sponsors in a broad range of industries. Among other clients, Mr. Garelick advised Caesar Entertainment Corporation in its $17.3 billion merger with Eldorado Resorts and its settlement with affiliates of Carl Icahn; The Walt Disney Company in its acquisitions of Lucasfilm and the streaming media company BAMTech (now known as Disney+); and Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre in the sale of Beats Electronics to Apple. Mr. Garelick has extensive experience representing special committees including, the special committees of AMC Entertainment, Caesars Acquisition Company and Wesco Financial Corporation. He also represents private equity firms, including Neuberger Berman in its $12.5 billion combination of Dyal Capital and Owl Rock Capital to form Blue Owl Capital, Oaktree Capital Management and its portfolio company AdvancePierre in its sale to Tyson Foods, Veritas Capital, Silver Point Capital and H.I.G. Bayside, among others.
