Arno Riße ("Risse" internationally) is one of the firm’s partners. He specializes in intellectual property law, with a focus on national and international patent litigation. He advises clients from around the globe covering all technical fields, such as telecommunications, video coding, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, chemistry and consumer goods.
He has, in particular, a broad experience in the “high tech” sector (e.g. in common technology standards such as LTE, 5G, WiFi, Bluetooth, HEVC, (G/LP)DDR and ERPS, and in semiconductor design), and in the pharmaceutical and medical device sector, including associated regulatory issues and FRAND.
Legal 500 praises the “very meticulous” Arno Riße as an “outstanding team player”. He is also continuously recommended in the JUVE Handbook (“meticulous as well as innovative”). IAM Patent 1000 states that he "is one of his jurisdiction’s top authorities on high-technology patent law" and quotes: “Arno is one of the most outstanding attorneys in his field. Career
Studied at the university of Münster with specialization degrees inter alia in Intellectual Property Law, accompanying philosophy studies at the university of Münster. Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Commercial Law, University of Auckland, New Zealand. Doctoral Thesis (S.J.D. equivalent) and parallel work as a research assistant at the chair of Prof. Dr. Ingo Saenger, University of Münster. Lecturer at the International Summer University, Gießen, until 2018 (European Patent Law).
