Work Highlights

Beineu Shymkent pipeline

Representing Beineu-Shymkent Gas Pipeline LLP before the judicial authorities of Kazakhstan in a dispute arising in connection with a claim under an EPC contract. The project was led by Artem Timoshenko and included an analysis of all documents related to the project. Furthermore, it was required to develop the best strategy of defence and approve this strategy by the shareholders of the Client. It is necessary to note that the court hearings were conducted via online-conference platforms.

Astana Solar

Providing legal services regarding the dispute with four French companies in the consortium. According to the master supply and maintenance contract, the consortium failed to participate during factory testing of the equipment for producing silicon wafers. Under the Contract on provision of services for an overall amount of EUR 15,300,000 (coordination of the project, expert services), a key interlink company between the Client and other members of the consortium has received the 6,605,000€ payment, whereof 4,195,800€ were not confirmed by reports. Consequently, In September 2015, the Client was responsible for violating the legislation on repatriation (an administrative fine was paid - 3 236 000₸).

Protection of tangible assets of a Kazakh subsoil user company as a result of illegal conclusion by government agencies of contracts for exploration and production of minerals on the land plot of this company.

Oil&Gas Company

Provision of services to a subsidiary of a large oil and gas company on recognition and enforcing the decision of the UAE court in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
