Ben qualified with BLM in 2005 and became a partner in 2012. He specialises in defending high value claims brought against solicitors, surveyors, brokers, IFAs, accountants, construction professionals and local authorities including preparing cases for the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court. Ben is often requested to provide advice to clients in respect of policy response and indemnity issues, including misrepresentation, non-disclosure and fraud.
In additional to Ben’s traditional professional indemnity work he acts for a number of local authorities and educational establishments in respect of quasi professional indemnity and D&O claims, including issues surrounding planning permission, data protection and election law.
Ben supervises a team of lawyers and is involved in the management of a claims handling team. He is also experienced in representing professionals before their regulatory bodies.
He sits on the Regulatory Affairs Board, Professional Indemnity Insurance Committee of the Law Society.
