He acts as deputy in high value catastrophic injury cases, dealing with all aspects of Court of Protection work, including contentious and non-contentious deputyship and statutory will applications. Brian regularly acts as an expert witness, preparing report (for both claimant and defendant litigation lawyers) in respect of costs in Court of Protection cases. He acts as a professional trustee, advising on personal injury trusts and related work where there may be issues of borderline capacity.
