Casey is one of Canada’s leading competition lawyers, with a practice covering merger control, cartel defence, and antitrust litigation. He brings an analytical approach to competition law issues that is unique in the Canadian profession, having practiced with leading firms in Toronto, Washington and London. He has been named one of the world’s top 40 competition lawyers under 40 (Global Competition Review, 2012), one of the top 40 lawyers in Canada under 40 (LEXPERT, 2012), and is a two-time Finalist for GCR’s worldwide “Lawyer of the Year - Under 40” Award (2014, 2013). His Harvard Law School LLM thesis on competitor collaborations under the Sherman Act was a selected runner-up in the international Swope Antitrust Writing Competition. Casey is admitted to practice in Ontario, New York, and England & Wales. He is a longtime member of the Leadership of the ABA Section of Antitrust Law, including serving as a member of the section’s governing Council.
