Colette sits in the award winning Tax Disputes team of KPMG Law which is currently ranked Tier 2 in Chambers and Legal 500 with an individual ranking as Up and Coming in 2024 and 2025.

Colette is an experienced tax litigation solicitor with more than 20 years of UK litigation experience across a diverse portfolio of clients. Colette has significant appellate experience at all levels of appeal, including the Tax Tribunals, Administrative Court and up to the Supreme Court.

Colette advises on all aspects of indirect tax litigation but has particular experience in advising on complex VAT disputes. Colette combines her technical expertise and extensive tax litigation experience to advise clients on all aspects of dispute resolution including tax appeals, penalty mitigation and judicial review. Most recently, Colette has successfully negotiated settlements with HMRC by way of alternative dispute resolution.
