Career
Partner Daniel Porter chairs the International Trade group at Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP, where he counsels clients on the myriad U.S. laws that affect the cross border shipment of goods. In particular, he has extensive experience defending foreign exporters in trade remedy (AD-CVD) cases, and in representing governments in WTO disputes. Mr. Porter has advised and defended numerous clients with exporting operations in China, Canada, Japan, Korea, Brazil, Oman, Vietnam, Argentina, and Spain. He also advises companies confronting international trade regulatory issues in their cross-border M&A transactions. He has particular expertise assisting companies that need to import products from China. Working with Curtis’ Mandarin-speaking attorneys and local Chinese counsel, he helps clients maintain uninterrupted access to the U.S. and other markets. He is admitted to practice in the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the U.S. Court of International Trade.
