Practice Areas

David is a member of Davis Polk’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice. He represents sponsors, lenders, developers, multinational corporations and governmental entities in all phases of the development and financing of U.S. and international projects, with a focus on the energy, power and infrastructure sectors. He also regularly handles mergers and acquisitions, with an emphasis on deals involving power generation assets.

His practice encompasses the development and financing of wind, solar and biomass projects as well as natural gas, oil, LNG and petrochemicals projects.

In addition to his extensive experience in private practice, David served in a senior role at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), providing strategic policy advice related to national security and international development. He also led the development and implementation of new policies and initiatives for the DFC.

Career

Previously served as Local Chair of the Washington, D.C. Finance Department; Global Co-Chair of the firm’s Project Development & Finance Practice. Rejoined the firm in 2020 after serving as Senior Vice President in the Office of Strategic Initiatives at the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC).
