David Sanford represents attorneys, executives, and employees throughout the United States. He practices in all aspects of civil rights and employment law, including gender, age, and race discrimination, qui tam/whistleblower claims, and wage and hour violations. The firm also represents victims of financial fraud and abuse.

Career
Receiving his J.D. from Stanford Law School in 1995, David served as a law clerk for the Honorable Gladys Kessler of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia and as a law clerk in the White House Counsel’s Office under President Clinton. He was the managing partner of the Washington, D.C. office of a civil rights firm from 1998 through 2003 and opened his own law firm in 2004. He has represented a class of female attorneys in several gender discrimination matter against Norton Rose Fulbright and Chadbourne & Parke; against Sedgwick; against Proskauer Rose; against Ogletree Deakins; and against Greenberg Traurig. He was also lead counsel in a Title IX sexual harassment case against Columbia University and one of its professors. He served as lead counsel representing approximately 7,000 female employees in Velez v. Novartis. After a seven-week trial in the SDNY, he secured the largest gender discrimination employment verdict ($253 million) in United States history. He served as lead counsel in a wage and hour case against Novartis Pharmaceutical Corporation. The case settled for $99 million on behalf of sales representatives who were not paid overtime wages. He was lead counsel in a race discrimination class action against the Cracker Barrel restaurant chain, which was the only race discrimination case intervened in by the George W. Bush administration. He represented the NAACP as well as Cracker Barrel employees and customers. The case was settled for more than $8 million.
