Dominic Kouffman is an attorney in Holland & Knight's Tampa and West Palm Beach offices, focusing his practice on fiduciary dispute resolution and trust and estate administration. He is an accomplished litigator and trial lawyer practicing in both federal and state courts in Florida and other jurisdictions. His broad range of experience includes representing both fiduciary and beneficiary clients in complex trust and estate administrations, trust and will challenges, and disputes involving claims for breach of fiduciary duty, breach of trust, undue influence, tortious interference with expectancy, lack of capacity, accountings, fiduciary removal, and other related claims. He works closely with his clients to find cost-effective and creative solutions to legal concerns and is skilled at finding resolutions both prior to and after the filing of legal proceedings. In addition, Mr. Kouffman is actively involved in the firm's pro bono efforts, including the launch of the Mickey Rooney Elder Financial Abuse Pro Bono Project in the Tampa office, representing individuals and families in guardianship proceedings, representing individuals victimized by mortgage fraud, advocating for children's legal rights and reuniting families under the Hague Convention of 25 October 1980 on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction international treaty. He participates in a number of bar- related organizations and sits on the Board of Directors for Voices for Children of Tampa Bay, an organization dedicated to supporting and advocating for children in the dependency system in Hillsborough County, Florida. After graduating from Georgetown University with honors, Mr. Kouffman worked for the U.S. Department of Justice assisting with federal government investigations and civil enforcement actions. While attending the University of Virginia School of Law, he was a senior editor for the Journal of Law and Politics.
