Enrique is an international lawyer specializing in all aspects of global antitrust and foreign investment (FDI) and subsidies (FSR) control with special focus on EU and Spanish competition law. He has advised numerous national and international clients on commercial matters involving general EU, antitrust,merger control, state aid law, FDI and FSR matters.
Enrique’s merger control practice covers difficult mergers in the air transport, retail banking, cement, healthcare (hospitals, fertility clinics), cruises, packaging and delivery, consumer goods, chemicals, food and telecoms sectors. Clients he has worked for include corporates such as Aon, Grupo Bimbo, Renault Group, HP, Sony, Solvay, Amadeus, Holcim, Novartis, ABB, Goldman Sachs, EADS, UPS, Carnival Corporation, Iberia, Air Berlin, Vueling and LATAM as well as private equity houses such as Cinven, CVC, KKR, Advent, Bridgepoint and Hellman & Friedman among others.
He serves as a non-Governmental advisor at the International Competition Network (ICN) on behalf of the Spanish Competition Authority (CNMC).
