ERIC MATTSON is the co-leader of Sidley’s ERISA and consumer class actions practice area. Over his 30 years of practice, he has defended clients in a wide range of industries against class actions, many of which challenged the management of 401(k) or pension plans. He has successfully tried cases, argued motions, and argued appeals in venues across the country. In 2023, he first-chaired the defense of a certified ERISA class action and secured a full defense verdict.
