Garron Whitesman founded Whitesmans Attorneys in South Africa in 2006 and has been ranked in Chambers Global every year since 2008. Garron holds BA LLB and LLM degrees and was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 1996. Whilst based in Cape Town, South Africa, and briefed by local and foreign clients and colleagues for his his advice on South African gambling laws, Garron has for the past 20 years also extensively advised clients globally in the gambling industry. He is an expert on matters of regulation and commercial law within the industry but also has substantial experience in litigating industry- related matters in foreign courts including in the European Court of Justice (the Carmen Media case). Garron represents suppliers and operators across all gambling modalities. Garron has been conferred numerous recognitions and awards as a result of his work in the industry, most recently being inducted into the African Gaming Hall of Fame. Garron regularly speaks at industry related events.
