Partner and vice-chair of Crowell & Moring’s Advertising and Media Group, Holly Melton helps some of the nation’s largest companies navigate the complex legal framework that governs advertising and marketing practices. Holly assists clients with resolving regulatory enforcement matters, including investigations initiated by the Federal Trade Commission, state attorneys general, and other local law enforcement agencies. She also counsels advertisers regarding compliance with state and Federal advertising laws. Holly also has substantial litigation experience initiating and defending Lanham Act false advertising claims in Federal court, as well as defending clients against consumer class actions. She also regularly assists clients with initiating and defending against competitive challenges before the National Advertising Division.
