Humberto Romero-Muci advises multinationals and Venezuelan companies on tax law, customs, tax and customs litigations and law and accounting matters. Humberto has taken part in the most relevant cases of tax litigation regarding customs, transfer pricing, municipal taxes, income taxes and international arbitration matters. Graduated summa cum laude from Andrés Bello Catholic University (UCAB) (1985), LLM and specialisation and diploma on international taxation from Harvard Law School (1986), doctorate of laws (PhD) from Central University of Venezuela (UCV) (2003). Head of the finance law professorship at UCAB since 1987, professor of Accounting law at the LLM tax courses at UCAB, and of the PhD courses in the Faculty of Law at UCV. Fellow member of the National Academy of Political and Social Sciences. Ranked as tax expert in Venezuela by several law and tax reviews. Humberto specialises in tax litigation, transfer pricing and international tax planning. Partner at D’Empaire since 2012.
