Managing Partner at Ioannis Vassardanis & Partners since November 2013 and leading lawyer in international investment and commercial arbitrations, since he acts as arbitrator and counsel in numerous international arbitrations and as counsel in arbitration-related proceedings before Greek and foreign courts.

Ioannis is appointed as lead counsel in an ICSID arbitration against the Lebanese Republic. In 2018, Ioannis was appointed as the Respondent State’s Arbitrator in the ICSID case of Société d’Energie et d’Eau du Gabon and Veolia Africa against Gabon, being the first Greek arbitration practitioner to ever assume simultaneously both the role of an arbitrator and a counsel before ICSID. He has also acted as co-counsel on a shortlisted case by Global Arbitration Review.

Ioannis is known for his significant experience in the construction and energy field, including RES, and advises clients on corporate issues and commercial contracts having also lead role in M&A transactions.
